The LinkedIn Group Scraper automation allows you to extract details about members from specific LinkedIn groups, capturing valuable information such as profile names, job titles, and company names. This tool is ideal for marketers, recruiters, and networkers who want to identify potential connections or prospects within niche groups. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy tracking.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, search for LinkedIn Group Scraper to quickly locate the tool.

Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To allow TexAu to access LinkedIn groups and retrieve member data, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection methods:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing login without handling cookies manually.
- Add Account: Connects directly using TexAu’s built-in browser extension, simplifying setup.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source
With LinkedIn connected, define the input source to specify which groups you want to scrape. You can enter a single LinkedIn Group URL or upload a list of URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.
- Single Group URL: For a one-time extraction, enter the LinkedIn Group URL of the target group. This is useful if you are focusing on a particular group.
- Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Groups: For extracting data from multiple groups, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Group URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup is ideal for collecting data from several groups in one run, saving time.
- Filtering Options: Apply filters, such as industry or location, to focus on members who meet specific criteria, helping you target the most relevant contacts.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To run the automation at specific intervals, use TexAu’s scheduling feature. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency for regular updates:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every day or every week)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday and Friday)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)
Scheduling allows you to monitor group members over time, ensuring up-to-date data on active members.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s rate limits, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each group member extraction. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability, simulating natural browsing behavior. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours as needed.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you want to save and manage the group member data. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for easy organization, sharing, and review.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, enabling direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each extraction to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative list of group members.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, helpful for organizing data by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest extraction, ideal if you’re only interested in recent group members.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to automatically remove duplicate entries, keeping your data organized and clean.
Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets is ideal for real-time data access and collaborative review with your team.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, perfect for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which can help simulate manual usage.
Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted group member data. Locate the LinkedIn Group Scraper automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
