The LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export automation enables you to extract a list of mutual connections between your LinkedIn profile and specified profiles, providing valuable insights into shared networks. This tool is ideal for sales, recruiters, and networkers looking to identify mutual contacts to facilitate introductions or strengthen connections. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy tracking.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, search for LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export to locate the tool quickly.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Automation Store screen with "LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export" entered in the search bar.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To allow TexAu to access LinkedIn and retrieve mutual connections, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu offers two secure connection methods:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email for quick login without manual cookie management.
- Add Account: Connects directly via TexAu’s built-in browser extension for streamlined setup.
Tip: Magic Link is a secure, easy way to connect LinkedIn without needing to manage cookies manually.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the LinkedIn connection options, highlighting both Magic Link and Add Account choices.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Once LinkedIn is connected, specify the input source to define which profiles you want to analyze for mutual connections. You can enter a single LinkedIn Profile URL or upload a list of URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.
- Single Profile URL: For a one-time extraction, enter the LinkedIn Profile URL of the profile you want to check for mutual connections. This is useful if you’re focusing on building rapport with a specific contact.
- Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Profiles: For checking mutual connections across multiple profiles, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Profile URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup is ideal for collecting mutual connections from multiple profiles in one run, saving time.
- Filtering Options: Apply filters such as industry or location to focus on profiles that meet your criteria, allowing you to tailor results to your networking goals.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the input source options screen with LinkedIn Profile URL, Google Sheet, and CSV options highlighted.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
If you’d like to run the automation at specific times, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency for ongoing checks:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every day or weekly)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 5th and 20th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)
Scheduling is useful for monitoring mutual connections regularly, ensuring you stay informed about new shared contacts.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the scheduling interface with options for selecting start time and recurrence frequency.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To prevent LinkedIn’s rate limits from being triggered, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each profile check. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to add variability, simulating natural browsing. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours as needed.
Screenshot Suggestion: Include a screenshot of the Iteration Delay settings, showing Minimum Delay, Maximum Delay, and time units.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you want to save and organize the data on mutual connections. Exporting to Google Sheets or CSV file provides flexibility in sharing and reviewing your findings.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output format. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, enabling direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each mutual connections check to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative list.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, helpful for organizing data by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest results, ideal if you’re only interested in the most recent mutual connections.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to automatically remove duplicate entries, keeping your data organized and clean.
Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets allows team members to access updated mutual connection data in real time.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the output mode options screen with Google Sheets, CSV, and Deduplicate options highlighted.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your own IP address, which can help simulate manual usage.
Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Run button with Cloud and Desktop options visible.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted mutual connections data. Locate the LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
Screenshot Suggestion: Display the Data Store screen with the “See Data” button highlighted.
The LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export automation streamlines the process of identifying shared contacts with target profiles, helping you leverage existing connections for stronger networking.
