Overview
Tutorial
TexAu's LinkedIn People Search Export automation allows you to efficiently gather LinkedIn profile data without manual effort. By connecting your LinkedIn account and customizing the automation settings, you can schedule and run the export on cloud or desktop, providing full flexibility. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring a smooth and seamless automation setup.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Go to Automation Store and find the “LinkedIn People Search Export” automation. Use the search bar to quickly locate it.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
Click on “Add Account” and select LinkedIn. Choose between adding your LinkedIn account via Magic Link or using the Add Account button.
- Magic Link will send a secure link to your email to add your account.
- Add Account button automatically connects using TexAu’s pre-installed browser extension.
Tip: This step avoids manual cookie entry, simplifying the connection process.
Screenshot suggestion: Add a screenshot showing the LinkedIn connection options.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
After adding your LinkedIn account, select an input source for your People Search. You can enter a keyword or LinkedIn People Search URL as a single input, or use a Google Sheet URL or CSV file containing one or multiple keywords or URLs. Choose one of these options from the input screen.
For example, if you’re targeting marketing managers, enter keywords like Marketing Manager and apply LinkedIn filters—such as connection degree, location, current company, connections of, followers of, past company, school, and industry—to refine results. Copy the search URL or include it in your Google Sheet or CSV for TexAu to automate.
Screenshot suggestion: Add a screenshot demonstrating the different input source options.
Tip: LinkedIn currently has a "People Extraction Limit" of up to 1,000 profiles per search URL. If your search yields more than 1,000 results, break down your list into smaller segments by adjusting the filters to ensure each URL captures under 1,000 profiles.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To schedule the automation for a specific date and time, click “Schedule” and set the start time—ideal for running TexAu during off-peak hours. Choose a Recurrence Frequency from the following options:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every hour, every 4 hours)
- Once
- Every Day
- Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Monday and Wednesday)
- Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
- Specific Dates (e.g., November 10).
Set Start and End Time Offsets (Optional)
Adjust the start or end time of the automation with an offset.
Screenshot suggestion: Show the scheduling window with options to select the start time.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s security, set an iteration delay to control how frequently TexAu scrapes each profile, helping to keep activity safe. Choose an optimal delay with both Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay settings to add variability. You can set the time unit in seconds, minutes, hours, or days based on your needs.
Screenshot suggestion: Add a screenshot of the iteration delay settings.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select your preferred format for exporting data: Google Sheet or CSV file. To automate with Google Sheets, you can export data directly to a connected Google account.
Output Options
- Append (Default): New results are added to the end of the previous data, merging into a single CSV file.
- Split: New results are saved in a separate CSV file after each extraction.
- Overwrite: New results replace data from previous extractions, useful for monitoring changes on a page.
Duplicate Management
- Deduplicate (Default): Automatically removes duplicate rows between each extraction.
Tip: Using Google Sheets for direct exports simplifies the process of sharing and analyzing the data.
Screenshot suggestion: Display the output mode selection screen with options like Google Sheets and CSV.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click “Run”. Choose to run on Cloud if you want TexAu to handle the automation from its servers. Opt for Desktop if you need more control or want to use your local IP address for tasks that require local device simulation.
Tip: Running automations on the desktop saves cloud run-time costs and offers enhanced control.
Screenshot suggestion: Show the ‘Run’ button and the option to choose between Cloud and Desktop.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
Go to the “Data Store” section in TexAu. Find the automation you ran, click on “See Data” to view the exported LinkedIn profiles and results.
Screenshot suggestion: Add a screenshot of the Data Store section with the option to See Data highlighted.
This tutorial walks you through exporting LinkedIn search data with TexAu using an easy, action-oriented approach. The flexibility to run automations on both Cloud and Desktop, combined with automated account connection and Google Sheet exports, makes TexAu a powerful tool for marketers, sales managers, and growth hackers looking to streamline their workflows.
