The LinkedIn Profile Auto Follow automation enables you to automatically follow selected LinkedIn profiles, helping you grow your network and stay updated with relevant content. This tool is ideal for sales teams, recruiters, and marketers aiming to increase engagement with prospects, thought leaders, or industry professionals. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export followed profiles to Google Sheets or CSV for easy tracking.

Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Go to the Automation Store and use the search bar to find LinkedIn Profile Auto Follow quickly.

Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu

To allow TexAu to follow LinkedIn profiles on your behalf, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection options:

Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing you to log in without handling cookies.
Add Account: Connects directly via TexAu’s built-in browser extension, making setup fast and simple.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

With LinkedIn connected, define the input source to specify which profiles you want to follow. You can enter a single LinkedIn Profile URL or upload a list of URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.

Single Profile URL: For a one-time follow, enter the LinkedIn Profile URL. This option is useful if you’re targeting a specific connection or influencer.
Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Profiles: To follow multiple profiles in bulk, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Profile URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup is ideal for following a large number of profiles in a single run, saving time.
Filtering Options: Apply filters like industry or location to refine your follow list, ensuring you target profiles relevant to your networking goals.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

Use the Schedule settings if you want TexAu to follow profiles at specific intervals. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or choose a Recurrence Frequency to automate the follow actions regularly:

At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 8 hours or every day)
Once
Every Day
On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Monday and Wednesday)
On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
On Specific Dates (e.g., March 10)

Scheduling helps you follow profiles gradually, keeping engagement consistent without overwhelming your feed.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s rate limits, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each follow action. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to add variability, simulating natural activity. Adjust this delay in seconds, minutes, hours, or days based on your preferences.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

In Output Mode, select how you’d like to save and organize the data on followed profiles. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for tracking and analysis.

Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. If you choose Google Sheets, link your Google account to enable a direct export to Google Drive.
Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each followed profile to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative list.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, helpful for organizing data by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest list of followed profiles, ideal if you’re only interested in the most recent follow activity.
Duplicate Management: Use Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries automatically, ensuring your data stays clean and organized.

Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets is ideal for team collaboration, allowing real-time access and updates on followed profiles.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose whether to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:

Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which may simulate manual actions.

Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides greater control over the execution process.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the list of followed profiles. Locate the LinkedIn Profile Auto Follow automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
