LinkedIn Group Activity Export

The LinkedIn Group Activity Export automation allows you to gather recent activity within specific LinkedIn groups, including posts, comments, and engagement metrics. This tool is ideal for community managers, marketers, and analysts who want to monitor group interactions and analyze member engagement trends. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy tracking and analysis.

Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, use the search bar to locate LinkedIn Group Activity Export quickly.

Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu

To allow TexAu to access LinkedIn groups and gather activity data, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection methods:

• Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing login without handling cookies manually.
• Add Account: Connects directly using TexAu’s built-in browser extension for easy setup.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

With LinkedIn connected, define the input source to specify which groups you want to monitor for activity. You can enter a single LinkedIn Group URL or upload a list of URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.

1. Single Group URL: For a one-time extraction, enter the LinkedIn Group URL for the group whose activity you want to track. This is useful if you’re focusing on a specific group.
2. Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Groups: To gather activity data from multiple groups, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Group URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup allows you to gather data from several groups in one run, saving time.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

If you want to capture group activity on a regular basis, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or choose a Recurrence Frequency to run the export periodically:

• At Regular Intervals (e.g., daily or weekly)
• Once
• Every Day
• On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Monday and Thursday)
• On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
• On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)

Scheduling the automation is useful for keeping up-to-date insights on ongoing group interactions.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To prevent LinkedIn’s rate limits from being triggered, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each group activity extraction. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability, simulating natural usage. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours as needed.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

In Output Mode, select how you want to save and manage the activity data. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for convenient tracking and analysis.

1. Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, enabling direct export to Google Drive.
2. Output Management:
   • Append (Default): Adds each extraction to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative log of group activity.
   • Split: Each run generates a new file, ideal for tracking data by session.
   • Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest extraction, useful if you’re only interested in recent activity.
3. Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to automatically remove duplicate entries, ensuring data remains organized and clean.

Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets provides real-time access, making it easy to review ongoing group interactions.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose whether to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:

• Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
• Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which can help simulate manual browsing.

Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted group activity data. Locate the LinkedIn Group Activity Export automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
