Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, enter LinkedIn Profile Auto Unfollow in the search bar to quickly locate the tool.

Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu

To allow TexAu to unfollow LinkedIn profiles on your behalf, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection methods:

Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, enabling login without manually entering cookies.
Add Account: Connects directly using TexAu’s built-in browser extension, simplifying setup.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Once LinkedIn is connected, configure the input source to specify which profiles you want to unfollow. You can input a single LinkedIn Profile URL or upload a list of profile URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.

Single Profile URL: For a one-time unfollow, enter the LinkedIn Profile URL of the profile you wish to unfollow. This is useful if you are targeting specific profiles for a quick cleanup.
Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Profiles: For bulk unfollowing, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Profile URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup allows you to unfollow multiple profiles in a single automation run, saving time.
Filtering Options: If you have a specific category of profiles to unfollow, apply filters such as location or industry to further customize your unfollow list.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

If you want TexAu to unfollow profiles at specific intervals, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or choose a Recurrence Frequency for repeated unfollowing:

At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 8 hours or every day)
Once
Every Day
On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Monday and Wednesday)
On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
On Specific Dates (e.g., February 10)

Scheduling is helpful if you want to gradually unfollow profiles over time, ensuring a consistent cleanup.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s rate limits, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each unfollow action. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to add variability, simulating natural behavior. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, hours, or days based on your preferences.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

In Output Mode, select how you want to save and organize the data on unfollowed profiles. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for easy review and management.

Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. If selecting Google Sheets, link your Google account to enable a direct export to Google Drive.
Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each unfollowed profile to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative list.

- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest unfollowed profiles, ideal if you’re only interested in the most recent activity.

Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which can help simulate manual actions.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the list of unfollowed profiles. Locate the LinkedIn Profile Auto Unfollow automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
