Overview
Tutorial
The LinkedIn Profile Views Export automation enables you to capture data on recent LinkedIn profile views, including the profiles of individuals who have viewed your profile. This tool is ideal for sales professionals, recruiters, and networkers who want to track engagement and follow up with interested connections. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy organization and follow-up.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and enter LinkedIn Profile Views Export in the search bar to quickly locate the tool.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Automation Store screen with "LinkedIn Profile Views Export" entered in the search bar.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To enable TexAu to access your LinkedIn profile view data, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection options:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing for easy login without manual cookie entry.
- Add Account: Connects directly through TexAu’s built-in browser extension, simplifying the setup process.
Tip: Magic Link offers a secure and efficient way to connect your LinkedIn account without handling cookies.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the LinkedIn connection options, highlighting both Magic Link and Add Account choices.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
With LinkedIn connected, configure the input source to define the profile views you want to extract. TexAu allows you to set up automatic extraction of all recent profile views, or you can use a custom approach based on LinkedIn URLs.
- Automatic Extraction of All Profile Views: This option allows TexAu to automatically pull data on all recent profile views, providing a complete list of individuals who have viewed your profile without additional input.
- Google Sheet or CSV for Targeted Profiles: If you wish to focus on specific viewers, use a Google Sheet or CSV file containing LinkedIn Profile URLs of the profiles you want to track. Paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu to process these specific profiles.
- Filtering Options: Use filters to refine the extraction, such as time frame (e.g., views in the last 7 or 30 days) or viewer industry. These filters help you target relevant viewers, making follow-up more focused.
Screenshot Suggestion: Display the input source options, highlighting automatic extraction, Google Sheet, and CSV options.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
Use TexAu’s scheduling feature to run the automation at specific times if you want regular updates on profile views. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency to repeat the automation:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every day or every week)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 5th and 20th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., February 15)
Scheduling the automation can help you stay on top of recent viewers, enabling timely engagement and follow-up with interested connections.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the scheduling interface with options for selecting start time and recurrence frequency.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s rate limits, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each extraction. Configure both Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability, simulating natural behavior. Adjust this delay in seconds, minutes, hours, or days, based on your needs.
Screenshot Suggestion: Include a screenshot of the Iteration Delay settings, showing Minimum Delay, Maximum Delay, and time units.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you’d like to save and manage the profile view data. You can export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for easy tracking and analysis.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file for data export. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, enabling a direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each new extraction to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative list of profile views.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, useful if you want to keep data separated by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest extraction, ideal if you only need the most recent profile view data.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries, ensuring your data remains organized and clean.
Tip: Google Sheets export is ideal for collaboration, allowing your team to view and act on profile views in real-time.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the output mode options screen with Google Sheets, CSV, and Deduplicate options highlighted.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose between Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, perfect for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which may simulate manual usage.
Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Run button with Cloud and Desktop options visible.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted profile view data. Locate the LinkedIn Profile Views Export automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
Screenshot Suggestion: Display the Data Store screen with the “See Data” button highlighted.
The LinkedIn Profile Views Export automation simplifies tracking recent profile viewers, helping sales, recruiting, and networking professionals monitor engagement and connect with interested profiles. With scheduling, flexible inputs, and export to Google Sheets or CSV, this tool provides an organized way to manage and respond to LinkedIn profile views, enhancing follow-up opportunities.
