Overview
Tutorial
The LinkedIn Work Anniversary Export automation allows you to collect data on work anniversaries of LinkedIn connections based on specific criteria, such as company or job title. This tool is highly valuable for sales teams, recruiters, and account managers who want to engage with connections at career milestones. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy tracking and follow-up.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Head to the Automation Store and use the search bar to locate LinkedIn Work Anniversary Export.
Screenshot Suggestion: Display the Automation Store interface with "LinkedIn Work Anniversary Export" entered in the search bar.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To extract work anniversary data, connect your LinkedIn account with TexAu. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection options:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing login without manual cookie entry.
- Add Account: Connects through TexAu’s built-in browser extension, offering a straightforward setup.
Tip: Magic Link is a quick, secure login method that bypasses manual cookie handling.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the LinkedIn connection options, highlighting both Magic Link and Add Account choices.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Once LinkedIn is connected, define the input source to specify which work anniversaries to extract. You can use a single LinkedIn Profile URL or upload a list of LinkedIn profiles via Google Sheets or CSV.
Single Profile or Company URL: If targeting specific profiles or anniversaries within a particular company, enter the LinkedIn Profile URL or Company URL. For example, if you want to monitor anniversaries at "Microsoft," enter the LinkedIn URL associated with this company.
Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Profiles: To track work anniversaries for multiple people or companies, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each profile or company URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup allows the tool to search for anniversaries across multiple profiles in one run.
LinkedIn Filters: Customize the search criteria with filters to refine results further:
- Job Title: Focus on anniversaries of people in specific roles, like "Software Engineer" or "Sales Manager."
- Location: Narrow the results to profiles based in certain regions.
- Company Size: Target individuals in companies of specific sizes, such as small startups or large enterprises.
Using these filters lets you hone in on anniversaries that are most relevant for your engagement goals.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the input source options, highlighting LinkedIn Profile URL, Google Sheet, and CSV options.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
If you’d like TexAu to run the automation at specific times, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the date and time for the automation, or choose a Recurrence Frequency to automatically repeat it:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 8 hours or every day)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., Mondays and Wednesdays)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 5th and 20th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., February 1)
Setting a recurring schedule is useful if you need regular updates on work anniversaries for ongoing outreach.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the scheduling interface with options for selecting start time and frequency.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To prevent LinkedIn from flagging rapid requests, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each profile extraction. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability between requests, helping to mimic natural browsing behavior. Adjust this delay in seconds, minutes, hours, or days based on your requirements.
Screenshot Suggestion: Include a screenshot of the Iteration Delay settings, showing fields for Minimum Delay, Maximum Delay, and time units.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you’d like to save and organize the extracted data. You can export the data to Google Sheets or a CSV file for flexible data handling and sharing.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output format. If you select Google Sheets, link your Google account to enable direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each new dataset to the end of the existing data file, allowing you to build a cumulative anniversary list.
- Split: Saves each run in a separate file, which is helpful if you want distinct datasets for each automation.
- Overwrite: Replaces old data with new results, ideal if you only need the latest anniversary information.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries automatically, keeping your data organized and clean.
Tip: Exporting directly to Google Sheets is perfect for real-time collaboration and making quick updates with your team.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the output mode options screen with Google Sheets, CSV, and Deduplicate options highlighted.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once your configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. TexAu allows you to choose between Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run the automation locally on your device if you prefer using your IP, which can simulate manual activity.
Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud run-time costs and provides greater control over the process.
Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Run button with Cloud and Desktop options visible.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the collected work anniversary data. Locate the LinkedIn Work Anniversary Export automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
Screenshot Suggestion: Include a screenshot of the Data Store screen with the “See Data” button highlighted.
